In Maria Slaughter's estate license to sell real estate was granted to administrator Alvab R. Miller. A special commissioner was sought for the Boveo drain with a hearing set for May 10. A petition to determine heirs was filed in David A. Lovell's estate. J. B. Gardner Douglas Cowdrey and J. L. Mouser were appointed to a Brown drain board of review on May 13.

Bay View Club Annual Meeting Set for May 22

Gratiot County Receives $5224 For Schools In 1920 Apportionment

Superintendent Kelly allocates $155,080.20 for primary education at 60 cents per child across 2727 school age residents statewide. Gratiot County with 8,707 children gets $5,224.20, distributed among townships such as Arcada 969 children 3 2, Bethany, Elba, Emerson, Falcon, Hamilton, Ithaca, Lafayette, Newark, New Haven, North Straits, North Star, Pine River, St Louis city, Seville, Sommer, Washington, Wheeler, and others, totaling 8,707 children and 5,224.20.

State Holiness Camp Meeting in Michigan

The twentieth annual Michigan State Holiness campmeeting will be at Riverside Park Eaton Rapids from July 27 to August 6. City Adopts Standard Time and Budget Hikes

The council decided to adopt standard time as the official city time and raised Health Officer Dr E T Lamb’s salary to 150 per year. No new developments emerge as state purchase of Alma Sanitarium for a state sanatorium is unlikely. President Lancashire told a reporter the board would oppose any sale that harms Alma or its citizens and cited central building constraints. Alumni Day Upholds College Nine In Seven Inning Turnout
