Building boom in Alma spurs major construction
Alma hosts a widespread building surge with two large projects under way the American Asphalt Mastic Co. plant near the sugar factory and the I O O F temple. Francis King’s brick veneer residence north of the old Cohoon site will cost about 20000 with 14 rooms and full amenities. Several other homes and extensions are progressing across Ward Hall and Case additions as local contractors rush to meet demand.
