On Thursday May 4, about thirty friends gathered at the Shaw home to honor their twenty fifth wedding anniversary. Rev N W Weston praised the couple as music from local youth filled the evening. Ida Latimer Shaw born in Scholuke county New York in 18?? They wed May 4 1880 in St Johns by Rev James Hamilton and settled in Emerson Gratiot county. They have three children Nellie Shaw Eichorn Maud Shaw and George Shaw and one grandchild. Both are members of the first Methodist church of Emerson and enjoy many longtime friends.
