The Alma Citizens Party met at City Hall Saturday evening with J. N. McCullough as chairman and Walter Caple as secretary. Nominees were listed for city offices across three wards including Nelson F. Death of Judge Fookes In Prosser Washington a sewing contractor was fatally shot at a ranch when a shotgun discharged during a dispute. The victim Mr Fookes, age 27, had moved from Michigan last fall and will be buried in Alma after services conducted by Rev Hoag.
Friday night services include a litany and sermon on The Episcopal Church Its Ministry. Sunday services feature Holy Communion and sermons on The Sanctified and The Temptation of Peter with Sunday school at 11:30 am and evening prayer at 7 pm. Midweek prayers on Wednesday discuss God's Passion. All are invited.

The Alma High School Debating Club hosts a public debate on Wednesday evening April 4 for the benefit of the athletic association.
