Second annal debate ends in Alma defeat at opera house
Albion and Alma colleges clashed in the second annual intercollegiate debate held Wednesday evening at the opera house. Alma, arguing for retention of the Philippines, was defeated after twelve minute speeches and four minute rebuttals from six speakers. Judges were Prin. Grawn, Edwards, and Supt. Cook.

Early Morning Fire Destroys Part Of Building
At 6 on Tuesday the alarm brought fire crews to a building opposite the post office attics once used by Karl Clark. The blaze, caused by a defective stove pipe, consumed clothes in the dry room and damaged a new factory, two weeks after Fisher of Clare opened a head factory in the space.
