The Methodist board in Gratiot County plans a gold jubilee banquet at the Sanitarium on Thursday evening April 1 to welcome the first circuit rider. Plates are for 500 as the event honors the historic arrival. F L Convis A W Brock and James Kross head the committee with Rev O E Hoag guiding the event. Last Saturday Justice Frank Lin of North Star led a Liberty Grange service for Wm Brandall and Ming Sarah Straus. The newly married couple began housekeeping east of Ithaca, with a reception held last evening.
