Farrough Sentenced to Sixty Days at Detroit House of Correction

Ten in One Shanty Brought to County Seat
Bert and George Cos with their wives and six children were rounded up by officers and taken to the county seat. They lived in a shanty seven to eight miles west of Ithaca in Sumner township under frightful conditions. The two men are strong but out of work and the children range from six months to six years. Most of the children were sent to Coldwater with Mrs M. St. Salter while the women await decision at the courthouse likely to be sent to the county farm.
