Articles of incorporation filed in March establish the Columbus Marshall North Eastern Railway with 1.2 million dollars capital to build and operate a steam line from Marshall to Bay City about 140 miles through Calhoun Eaton Clinton Montcalm Gratiot Midland and Bay counties with Portland on the route.
