Alma College Holds Sixteenth Annual Commencement
Alma College concluded its sixteenth annual commencement with forty five graduates, eighteen earning degrees. The ceremony in the Presbyterian church featured Rev Bruske's address, choral music, and remarks on loyalty to the institution, following a trip to California for the General Assembly.

Guilty Pleas Lead to Prison Sentences in Detroit Case
The Alaa Klopers Mlewlet and Emma Howes pleaded guilty at arraignment. J F Wright was sentenced to two and a half years in a lonia prison, and Mrs Howes to one year and three months at Detroit House of Correction. The case concerns penality for the transgressor.
