The Michigan association hosts a two day event for 400 editors and spouses in Detroit. Attendees tour city highlights, visit Capt. Joe Nicholson’s residence, Gen. Alger’s home, the water works, Belle Isle Casino, and Orchard Lake military school. Banquets, toasts, and a tour of Palmers’ log cabin enrich the spirited gathering. The next meeting will be in Grand Rapids.
Alma College hosts a bustling schedule with lectures at Bay City and Saginaw, cantatas and concerts, and a closing week ahead. Dr. Stuart, Miss Fox, and Rev. Dr. Hunting headline events while the YM and YOW plan a Sunday night lecture. Supt. Church and local visitors join for the Y M C A prayer meeting and college activities.
Alma College announces a June schedule with multiple events from June 10 to 14 including examinations, corner stone laying for the library, installation services for Rev. Geo. F Hunting D D, and a president's reception. The program features addresses, prayers, music, scripture readings, and constitutional questions with formal processions and a college chapel ceremony. Also notes a koper stock and local real estate advertisements.
