Alma Throng Crowds Streets For Grand Fourth Celebration

Ten thousand people packed Alma at sunrise last Thursday for a countywide Fourth of July festival. An estimated six thousand lined Superior Street in a festive parade with decorated cars, rope acts, bicycle stunts, and music. Firemen prepared early, and rain briefly interrupted evening events though the crowd remained orderly and satisfied with the day’s entertainments.

A W Stone, a Breckenridge dealer with swifts, was killed when a wagon runaway near St Louis last Saturday caused a skull fracture.
