The Michigan Dihers motorcade arrives in Alma at 2:15 a m Sunday for a good roads meeting at Wright Park with the Ford band of forty accompanying the tourists. Noted speakers will address the crowd as the seventh annual good roads tour promotes better highways and through-route standardization. The Around Lake Superior tour travels from Detroit to Port Arthur and Port William through Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota and beyond.

Military Funeral Held for Wilhelm Ernest Wilhelm
Private Ernest Wilhelm of Company 140th Infantry died overseas of pneumonia on November 14 1918. A funeral service was held Tuesday at 2 00 pm at the church in Ventaburg. His body arrived in Alma the previous week escorted by a city unit from Detroit and was later moved to Vestaburg. He is survived by a sister Mrs Avkers of Grover Avenue Alma.

Myers Body On Way Home From France
The body of Carparth George W. Myers of Company K 120th Infantry killed in France in July 1918 has arrived in Hiboken New Jersey from Frame and is due within seven days. A substantial military funeral is planned in Hiboken and a public proclamation by Mayor Murphy is expected. Myers was among the first to enroll when the war began and one of the first to be killed.
