Michigan county boards empowered to designate depositories for public funds
A petition describes an act permitting county boards of supervisors to designate state or national banks within their counties as public fund depositories. Banks would bid to offer the highest interest on average monthly balances, with funds allocated pro rata if tied, and boards may purchase bonds for treasurers.
