An Ohio resident visiting relatives in Alma was told of a looming fire near her Alma property. She increased her fire insurance from January 1. A Breckenridge accident last week left two women with injuries after a dogged horse incident. one woman suffered a severe head injury, the horse later had to be killed. The women are recovering.

Horse Kicks Man in Face Injuring Jaw on Superior Street

Myron Dunkle, while driving his team up Superior Street last Saturday around noon, was kicked in the face by a horse and sustained a severe jaw fracture. He was found unconscious and carried to Sweet's feed barn. Dr. McClinton treated him and took him home. his condition is not serious.

Dr. Stiles Kennedy addressed whether agriculture should be taught in public schools, arguing that even if not practiced, elementary subjects aid scholars while farming remains isolated from school science.
