Third White Family to Settle at Alma
Wm. N. Rogers known as Uncle Billy died suddenly at his daughter's home in Mt. Clemens on Christmas day. He was 85 or 86, famed as a jovial weather prophet and early Alma settler, the third white family to locate where Alma now stands, and helped build local roads. He left five children, two surviving, and his funeral was held at the M E church with interment in Riverside cemetery.
