A large crowd attended a Tuesday evening concert in Alma College chapel featuring Michigan musicians Julion Seyler Alfred Hotellist and Marshall Peasecone. The program included Troneschn’s Sonata op 58 and works by Koff and Denza with praise for Seyler Pease and the college’s School of Music. Tragic death ends life of Edwin Alverson at 54
Edwin Alverson of Alma Mich died after a brief battle with fever and illness. The 54 year old, described as strong and devoted, left a widow and two children, with mourning kin in Michigan and Michigan. Services were held at a Baptist church, followed by burial in the town cemetery. Two additional elderly residents, Milo Standish and Nathaniel Bailey, died suddenly from apoplexy and heart failure, with Eliot White of Pine River also passing away after years of heart trouble.
