A Thowias Snocumis to Wn After Short Illness

W. Q Thowas died at his Alma home after a six day illness from pneumonia. Born in Fabius in 1644, he married Mary Dutcher in 1871 and lived on the land south of the river before moving to Alma. A Civil War veteran, he cared for Riverside cemetery and was active in Masons and other orders.

Mary A Fuller Weaver Ransom, aged in her 80s, died at her late home after a long life as Gratior's elder settler. Born July 12 1828 in Conneaut Ohio, she endured family losses, a Civil War veteran son, and a lumber accident, later rejoining Miles A. Ransom then Arcada township.
