The Flint Daily Journal reports Prof. H A Milliken left his band to build a city orchestra in Flint. Thirty six musicians join, with Arthur Bo Ward on oboe and Karl Lott on bassoon. First concert in January features Schubert Unfinished Symphony and Dvorak Slavonic dances.

Pleasant family reunion fills Latimer home at Christmas
A Christmas gathering at Mr. and Mrs. RU Latimer’s home brought five of six children and extended kin from St Johns Toledo Emerson Detroit and Alan together. Guests enjoyed a short program of recitations songs and instrumental music by Hagel Heae Newie Shaw E Latimer and others. H A Button dressed as Santa Claus distributed presents and posed for photos with the children and the entire group. The day was described as a Christmas long to be remembered.
