Mrs Frank Mead, 41, died at home on South Franklin street Mt Pleasant Tuesday night after a brief illness. She had been ill since Sunday and suffered breathing difficulties Tuesday before passing away. Born Carrie Youngs of Alma, she was the widow of George Mead and leaves husband two young children and her mother and brother Burton Youngs residing in Pleasant. Weekly Fire Inspection Report Shows Several Defects
Claude Struble fire warden reports to the city commission on last week’s work. Of 234 residences inspected, six had defective chimneys and fourteen had defective smoke pipes.
