Sudden death of longtime Arcada resident noted

The obituary records the passing of a respected Arcada citizen at home near Alma last Friday night after a long life of marriage to W. T. Stickrod. Born in Crawfordsville Indiana, she lived in Champaign Illinois 27 years, then moved to Alma area in 1910. Six children survive, and funeral services were held at the farm residence with Rev. J. W. Pricet officiating. burial followed at Riverside Cemetery beside her husband.

Walter and Will Caple of Clare, sons of J. Caple, and an auto dealer’s demonstrator named Huntley were involved when a new Jackson car collided with a M. A. TL Traction interurban at a Mason street crossing. The car was demolished and Huntley badly injured. Will Caple suffered head and face cuts, Walter Caple unharmed.
