Governor Hughes appointed Richard J. Hand of Ellenstown to take testimony and report on twenty three charges against District Attorney William Travers Jerome. The minority stockholders committee of the Metropolitan Street Railway submitted findings showing none proven, all disproved. Recommendation to dismiss charges and a request for Jerome's removal.
