Six Michigan parties file full primary tickets for state offices

Secretary of State Martindale confirms a verified list of candidates for the upcoming primary. All six parties Republican Democrat Socialist Socialist Labor Prohibition and Progressive have full state tickets. The new party has nominees in most Congressional districts and 12 of 26 Senate districts. Engagement announced for Paul Delevan and Miss Jessie Ben Oliel

The State Board of Health will start an investigation Monday into the sanitary conditions of depots across the state. Local health officials will carry out the campaign. The probes respond to numerous complaints received by state authorities.

A. J. Bemis Dies at 54 Former Carson City Editor

A. J. Bemis long tied to the Carson City Gazette and once its editor died at his East Lansing home after a brief illness. He was 54, resident of Carson City since 1849 before moving last winter, and had run the Gazette for 21 years until last July. His funeral was held in Carson City with honors as business houses closed in respect.

A Mrs J W Robinson from Naples Italy reports pleasant surprise on arrival at the hotel a copy of the Record. The travel party visited Pompeii Amalie Sorrento Ca pi and Rome with a drive on the Appian Way. Florence notes two Record copies June 27 and July 11 were the only home news received. Over two hundred Americans travel under the Bureau of University Travel and will attend a reception July 29 to meet the group. Painting and Guests at the Michigan Masonic Home

The exterior woodwork is being repainted and letters gilded at the Michigan Masonic Home on State Street. The W C T U held a Saturday afternoon meeting there with many residents in attendance. New residents include Dr. George A. Williams of Bay City Joe Sanders and wife of Saginaw James Sanders of Rockford. The latter uses a wheelchair. Dr. Peterson of Ann Arbor operated successfully on Mrs. A. E. Fouler of Sumner at Alma last Thursday and she is recovering rapidly.
