Friends across the county urge John M Everden to run for Prosecuting Attorney on the Republican ticket pledging full dedication if elected Newel Smith is named as Republican candidate for Representative with fifty years in Gratiot County and eleven years on the Board of Supervisors endorsing him as the right choice in the primary

Rose, a Gratiot County native born in Washington township in 1884, attended Wacosta High School and Central Michigan Normal at Mt. Pleasant. He served four years as Ashley school superintendent and sat on the Gratiot County Board of School Examiners.
William FE Beebe of Hillsdale and Miss Bertha M Eyer of this city were wed at the bride's father C Eyer's Downey street home in a small gathering. The ceremony began at eleven with the Flower Song rendered by Gretchen Eyer.
Mrs Ray Wheaton hosted a linen shower at her Lowney Street home for Miss Mauline Chick as she prepares to wed Ralph V Wheaton next week. About twenty guests played five hundred and enjoyed a two course luncheon. Guests included out of town visitors Miss Pringle of Grand Rapids and Miss Brown of Detroit. The Fraker family just returned from a 2000 mile motor trip through Michigan Ohio and New York State reporting good roads outside Michigan and that they were away from Alma three weeks.

Fis and plans to enlarge the hardware store to hold his growing stock and add storage for implements. Farmers within a wide radius receive visits from Perrigo during the season.
Francis King jea ta advocates good roads and clean progressive politics as he and his bride unite before Rev J Frank Jackson. The ceremony featured tea roses and flower girls Helen Mindell and Melba Willard. attendants Lloyd Eyer and Miss Beebe, with out of town guests including Mrs Harvey Monson and the Brooks family. After Sept 1 the couple will reside in Hillsdale in a home the groom furnished.
County Drain Commissioner E W Redman sold drain No 105 to Ed Clark of Arcada at 5 19 per rod. branches A and B at 5 04 per rod. Clark acquired all main drain and branches except seven rods. Lippert bought 37 2 rods not bid at 8 80 per rod. Eleven concrete bridges bid by Henry Miller for 4475 and six farm entrances at 50 each. Completion will benefit adjoining property.
Mrs. Louisa Goodrich of this city brought a curious cribbage board into the office last week. The piece, carved from a walrus tusk by an Alaska Indian, was obtained in 1910 during a Fort Wrangle visit and shows a detailed Alaskan animal likeness. Its value is set at $40.00.
