Connor Ice Cream Company of Owosso broke ground for a storage and distribution plant to be erected near Cleveland Grocery in eastern city limits. The 82 by 2 foot structure will have brick front, hollow tile walls, reinforced concrete floors, and modern equipment. It will serve storage and distribution as the company expands in Alma's distributing point. W A McDonald stated the plant should be ready within sixty days.

Mr and Mrs James M Wheaton marked their fifty year union at home on West Center Street with about 75 relatives from Alma and Michigan towns attending. Their Easter lilies ferns and palms decorated the house. A two course dinner was served at six to immediate relatives. The Wheaton family has resided in Alma twenty years after moving from a long farm life. Their two sons Ralph and Ray operate local businesses.

Decree vindicates Alma officials in Purcell water case
In Alma, Judge E J Moinet signed a decree against A R Purcell granting the city a lien on his well digging machinery and awarding $26 046 to the City of Alma for breach of contract. Purcell had guaranteed 2000 gallons per minute but delivered far less, and the sale of the machinery will be applied to the judgment with possible deficiency proceedings against Purcell.
