County election yields large Republican gain and bond defeat

A quiet Monday election in Arcada district shows a strong Republican gain in the county board to thirteen Democrats and Republicans thirteen. A supervisor was gained for Bethany while North Shade and Justin Emerson shifted. The court house bond for a county loan passed by 1090 votes, pleasing Ithaca supporters who had campaigned extensively. The Pine River bridge tax failed, a loss mourned by supporters. the editorial urges voters to reconsider their stance.
