Deputy Sheriff Delivers Mule Thief to Minneapolis for Trial

Deputy Sheriff Thompson this afternoon took Sam Grover, the mule thief, to Minneapolis, where he will await trial. Geo. B. Seeley of Alma, Colorado, who owns a row of frame buildings on Cedar street between A and First, plans a September completion of a fine brick structure to occupy the whole block with three large store rooms on the ground floor. If the wedge at Spruce and Second streets is vacated, H. O Hay will start a $15,000 three story brick building at the corner, a prime addition to the town.

Disturbance in Holland township arrest and pursuit

George Stockton was jailed for breaking into Mr. Carney’s Holland township home and stealing goods worth $3,000. Bonds for C.S. Crawford and B.L. Strother were set at 850. Stockton missed his Quinn court hearing yesterday as efforts to locate him continue.

Barber Brawl Over Washbowl Sparks City Court Appearance

Geo Turner and Ed Lucas, Henry Hunter's barbers, clashed over heated words this afternoon. Turner struck Lucas, who retaliated with a washbowl blow. Marshal Kirkwood intervened, both pleaded guilty before Judge Dewey, and each incurred $5.00 in court costs for damages to the peace of the corporation.
