Man finishes sentence in doghouse in Texas City
Robin Sr. spent each night for a month from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. in a state owned 2 by 3 foot plastic doghouse in front of his home as punishment for whipping his stepson with a car antenna and locking him out during a thunderstorm. Prosecutors set up the doghouse on March 13 in a carport. Police monitored compliance while Robin faced harassment and disturbances from passers by and neighbors. He says the punishment did not fit the crime and complains of bottles thrown at him. The article notes the correction policy of the Texas City Sun.
