Seven Rescued After Thames Fall At Hampton Court

Eleven Confederate Soldiers Buried at Woodlawn Cemetery
A monument at Woodlawn Cemetery honors eleven Confederate prisoners of war who died at Farrington-Williams Park House prison. In Wyoming Illinois on May 30 two days of searching by about 1,500 volunteers failed to find any trace of five year old Russell Dean King who wandered from others while swimming near Holgate Run Creek. Fire Chief Bernard Thieben led the effort saying they are near the end of their rope with no lead or clue. Two Weekend Crashes Kill One Injure Six in Vigo County
A memorial day toll in Vigo County lists one dead and six injured from two auto crashes within two hours. Robert Sidney Headrick, 54, of Bessemer Alabama, died from injuries near Youngstown on US 41 after his car collided with Lemuel Oscar Page, 78, of Terre Haute. Headrick’s wife Thelma, 45, son Robert 16, daughter Barbara Lee Oney 21, and granddaughter Carolyn Jean Johnson 6 were injured. another granddaughter Judy Oney, 2 1/2, was hospitalized with her mother.
