Sailor Killed in East of Odon Car Crash

A 21 year old sailor on leave from the USS Tidewater died when his car collided with a semi trailer at Indiana 58 and Indiana 45 four miles east of Odon. Police identified him as John A. Chinn of Crane Indiana.

Thieu Affirms Harmony With Nixon After Midway Talks

At Midway Island Nixon and Thieu pledged continued U S Saigon solidarity after Nixon announced a 25 000 troop withdrawal from Vietnam. Thieu dismissed rumors of U S Saigon divergence and said they shared a very close understanding on peace efforts. Nixon then left for Honolulu after five hours of talks.
