Cornered Boy, 17, Wounded In Fight
In Vandergrift Pennsylvania state police captured 17 year old John Fallone after a deadly night. Police Chief Gus Zanos of Apollo was wounded during the gun battle as Fallone fired from a rifle while cornered. Fallone had earlier slain three people at a farm home including H Warren Smail and Irene Smail. Gladys Smail, 15, was seriously wounded. Fallone was found behind a stump on a ridge after an all night search and is being treated for head injuries at Kitanning hospital.

Officials of the Terre Haute Brewing Company and Local 85, Brewery Workers Union, met at the brewery today to discuss issues surrounding the shutdown on December 1 when the union contract expired.
