An 1839 advertisement touts Dr A Harrells prophylactic pills as superior for fevers liver complaints jaundice headaches and digestive ills. It lists wide range of diseases cured and urges physicians merchants and agents to join the distributorship with extensive testimonials from named towns and individuals.
The introducer of silk plant culture offers large supplies of trees buds and rooted layers at bargain prices in Brinkleyville. Plants include four-foot trees with mature buds and low-cost buds, offered to planters and investors with cash discounts and a one-year interest-free indulgence on good bonds. Prices fall well below Northern rates as market pressure eases.
