The piece lists numerous names and locations including Elizabeth City Pasquotank Windsor Tarboro Norfolk and Raleigh. The notice ends with a price of 50 cents per box.
A playful lyric celebrating many loves among sea towns maidens from Julia to Anna as the speaker proclaims boundless affection for all. The speaker swears fealty to the sea and its charming figures, imagining a single tether binding them and yearning for arms long enough to hug them all.
