Indian Outrage Kills A Young Man Near Fort Mitchell
The death of William Fannin, 18 or 20, occurs near Russell county Alabama after being shot by two Uchee Indians while traveling with Comer. Fannin died of a heart wound on the Alabama road seven to eight miles beyond Fort Mitchell, his belongings looted and his friend unhurt. Comer and travelers later found the body.
