It promises rapid relief from acute or chronic conditions, including dyspepsia asthma neuralgia epilepsy hysterics rheumatism gout toothache weak eyes and skin eruptions. The text asserts immediate pain relief and dramatic cures across a wide range of diseases based on observation and experience.
A fragmentary medical notice claims Dr Harrell and agent R T Allen cured six cases at Elizabeth City, Halifax, and nearby towns. Cases include ankle sprain relief in two minutes, nervous headache relief, chronic rheumatism relief in three days, acute shoulder pain relief after ten minutes, extensive facial ringworm cured in two minutes, and facial neuralgia cured in twenty minutes. Tarboro, April 8, 1841.
The text extols Peters Vegetable Pills as a life saving cure, claiming wide fame and rapid demand.
