The Tarborough Press lists a yearly subscription of two dollars and fifty cents paid in advance or three dollars after the year ends. For shorter periods the rate is twenty five cents per month. Advertisements up to a square cost one dollar for the first insertion and twenty five cents for each continuation, with longer ads priced proportionally. Court orders and judicial ads cost twenty five percent higher. Ads must state the number of insertions or run until ordered otherwise. Letters to the editor must be postpaid.

Mysterious Canal Death of Canal Bank President Ogden
The body of Mr. Ogden, late President of the Canal Bank, was found in the canal near the Shell road. No wounds or brain injury were present though his face showed fish damage. gloves and pencil case with a five dollar piece were recovered. An inquest returned death by unknown means with a prevailing belief of accidental drowning after a possible horse fall. He was buried yesterday afternoon with many mourners.
