Rio Grande Air, based at Taos Municipal Airport, won the bid to operate a fixed base operation. The town council approved the recommendation of the airport commission at a Oct 5 meeting. Burglary Charges Dismissed After Lie Detector Test
An Albuquerque man Ray Freeman, 22, had charges dismissed after passing a lie detector test in a case tied to a burglary last Oct. 15 near Manby Hot Springs. Freeman and companion Jack Iko faced theft of a purse, wallets, cash, cards, and salami and cheese sandwiches. Judge John B. Wright deferred sentencing, with Freeman placed on one year probation after a July no contest plea.
