County seeks road funds and courthouse annex plan

Taos County moves to form a local task force to pursue a north south by pass with maps from the highway department not promised. The commission endorsed a courthouse annex design costing up to 298000 with DA offices optional and funded by bond recall proceeds and tax in lieu money.

The Taos Fiestas for 1978 are scheduled July 21 to 23. Jaycees co chairs David Vargas and Gus Cordova head the event with a Fiesta Queen Pageant. Ruth Hatcher chairs the children’s parade. Entertainment chairman Bill Whaley invites entertainers to contact him at 758-2324.
