Whitey Testifies on Loan Collateral In Bribery Case

Whitey’s Restaurant owner Steve White testified that a $20,000 note secured a $15,000 loan from Richard Rowand of CRW to John Ramming, the governor's aide charged with bribery for awarding CRW contracts. White said he knew Rowand for decades and detailed prior loans and help. Steven Walker testified CRW’s assets grew from $152,437 to $1.9 million by May 31, 1984, with state contracts supplying most income.
