Taos WCA Unit Schedules Meet

The Taos Wildlife and Conservation Association holds its regular monthly meeting on Wednesday at 8 pm in the Kiva Room of the Kit Carson Electric Coop building. Loyd Barnett forester with Carson National Forest will discuss current vi on and junior central projects across several districts. Job Corps Recruiting Drive Planned for Taos County

Three man teams from Luna Job Corps Center near Las Vegas will door to door in Taos County starting next Tuesday to recruit disadvantaged youth. Participants will be sent to training centers of their choice with costs paid during training.

Taos CAP Dying Okay Public Hearing Scheduled

A public hearing is set for June 26 at 8 p.m. in the Taos County Courthouse to gather views on whether the Taos Area Community Action Program should continue supervising antipoverty programs in Taos County. The CAP is currently recognized by the county and Taos Questa governments as the overseer of federal aid programs for the poor. The public is invited to express opinions on this designation.
