Taos opens budget friendly summer day care for families
Taos Municipal Schools run a day care from 7 30 a m to 5 20 p m five days weekly through July 28 at Taos Elementary for ages 5 8 and Taos Middle for ages 9 11. More than 100 children are enrolled with activities including swimming crafts ping pong basketball and field trips. Program director Diane Dorsey organized this joint venture with the Town of Taos four years ago and credits community support for keeping the program going despite grant funding gaps.
