The Speech Language Pathology Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensing Practices Board adopted rules on April 16 and effective June 1 requiring a 45 day trial for hearing aids. Sellers must refund full amounts within 30 days of return, less a nominal fee. The measure, urged by the Hearing Loss Association of Albuquerque, targets misrepresentations about returns and refunds and imposes fines or shutdown for noncompliance.

Local women graduate from eighth Local Government Leadership Program
Amy Quintana Town of Taos Council member and Mary Trujillo Mascarenas Pelasco Schools board member are among 23 statewide professionals who recently completed the eighth Local Government Leadership Program.
