Vincent Munden, co founder of a Taos County animal shelter, was indicted for embezzlement by a local grand jury on November 30. The alleged theft, dated March to June 1994, involves more than 2500 dollars intended for Animal Rescue Center and co founder Barbara Cozart of Tres Piedras. The charge is a third degree felony, carrying up to three years in prison. State police are attempting to contact Munden to serve a notice to appear, with a warrant possible if that fails.
