Molycorp spill sparks dispute over river impact
A broken pipe at Turquoise Lake near Questa released sediment into Red River and toward the Hatchery, drawing sharp dispute over fish and egg losses. Officials caution damage may extend 25 miles of wild river, while hatchery trout losses appear limited after rapid shutdown and containment. A study monitors water quality as a new dewatering system is planned.
