Carson wilderness survey draws big response statewide
The Carson National Forest briefed on a controversial wilderness survey for RARE 11 drawing intense out-of-state interest and strong local opposition. Pam Fraser-Walters noted many signatures favored keeping Columbine Hondo and nearby areas non wilderness while Cruces Basin and other sites drew wilderness support. overall pro-wilderness letters were more personal, with state vs out-of-state trends varying by site.
