Damages Sought in Talpa School Deaths Lawsuits
Damages totaling 922 00 are sought in two district court suits tied to a fatal Talpa incident involving a small car and a truck trailer from Pol Creek Logging and Lumber. Plaintiffs are administrators of the estates of Mrs. Carolina Martinez and Mrs. Cleotilde Gonzales. Defendants include Pol Creek Logging and Lumber Co and driver Fisher. Damages break down to 22500 in the Gonzales suit and 69700 in the Martinez suit. Trujillo 83 dies after long illness at Upper Ranchitos
Mrs. Trujillo 83 of Upper Ranchitos died at home Monday after a lengthy illness leaving 173 living dependents. Survived by three sons Manuel Silviano Leonor and three daughters Amada Harmon Sara Morgas Lorida Montoya 50 grandchildren 105 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren. Funeral at Latter Day Saints Taos at 10 a.m. Saturday with burial in Dolores Cemetery under Garcia's Funeral Home care. Pallbearers listed and eulogy by Andres Martinez. Prayer services at Garcia's Chapel Thursday and Friday nights.

Reginio Valerio, 63, of Ranchos de Taos died December 16 at Holy Cross Hospital. Funeral services were held at 9 a.m. Tuesday at San Francisco de Assisi Church with Rev. Clarence Galli officiating. Burial followed at the church cemetery under Garcia's Funeral Home. Rosary was recited Sunday and Monday evenings at Garcia's Chapel. Survivors include his wife Epifania M. Valerio and many children, grandchildren, and siblings. Pallbearers named, with eulogy by Abiguel Maes.
