County weighs courthouse site amid funding bids

Questa High School senior Art Sanchez earned honorable mentions on offense and defense in the 1967 New Mexico Class B All State Football Team. The 5-10, 185 pound back scored five touchdowns and added five extra points and a safety while also anchoring the defensive end spot for the Wildcats in their first football season, finishing 4 8.

County officials questioned over nonbid microfilm purchases

He warned they could face trouble as state law requires three quotations for under 500, three bids for 500 to 1000, and bid advertising for over 1000. Taos Holidays Parade Opens Christmas Season
A Taos Christmas program began with a Children's Parade on the plaza led by a red convertible carrying Taos Town Council members. The fire truck bearing Santa Claus ended the parade, while Explorer Scouts supplied two trucks and six boys to haul 65 Christmas trees. Prizes were awarded to students and Taos Municipal Schools for decorating efforts, donors included First State Bank and First Northern Savings & Loan. Mayor Sanchez spoke on the bandstand, with performances by local choirs and a trumpet trio.
