Four Area Teens Plead Guilty In Vandal Spree
A group of four teenagers from Ranchos de Taos damaged property across a two mile Santa Fe Road stretch between Kit Carson State Park and the Granada building. Three girls and one boy, ages 18 and 19, faced $20 fines or 20 days in jail after pleading guilty to destroying property. a 17-year-old girl was referred for further action. The spree included pulling flowers, dumping dirt in a gas tank, removing signs, and stealing plants and decorations from several local sites.

Funeral services for Flavio Gonzales 72 of Upper Ranchitos who died August 1 in Holy Cross Hospital were held Friday at San Francisco de Assisi in Ranchos de Taos. Burial at San Francisco Cemetery with color guard from Tags Montezuma Barracks. A World War I veteran and longtime businessman, he is survived by his widow four sons three daughters 28 grandchildren one great grandchild and a sister. Pallbearers were Edwin Romero Emilio Valerio Ernest Valerio Frank Garcia Alfonso Trujillo and Michael Torrez. Garcia Funeral Home supervised arrangements.
