Veterans Break Ground on Taos Local Cemetery
Taos County and the town of Taos initiated a local veterans cemetery project in 2014 as New Mexico Senator Carlos Cisneros notes the Santa Fe national veterans cemetery is filling up. Veterans from Taos County representing multiple conflicts and branches gathered in a field near the Rio Pueblo de Taos gorge to mark the start of the project.
