A grand jury reindicted Paul Crackera Martinez, 32, on murder charges for the November 28 shooting death of Paul Gallan TI outside Don Quijote Lounge. The latest indictment allows second degree murder, voluntary or involuntary manslaughter, each with negligent firearm use. arraignment set for Monday.

Lehrman Promises Taos Airport Runway Within a Year
U S Congressman Bill Lehrman of Florida said he expects to fly into the new Taos airport by this time next year. A public hearing on the airport master plan and environmental assessment is set for Aug 18 at 5 15 p m at Coronado Center. Lehrman, chair of the transportation appropriations subcommittee, noted FAA funding for the Taos airport remains a top priority and Congress has directed continued funding in fiscal year 1988. The master plan favors a cross wind runway over an extension onto Pueblo land, citing lease issues and non closure of the facility as reasons.
