Moravia reports Miss Mary Colgan has entered the Sisters of St. Joseph convent in Pittsford.
Mount Vernon Indiana September 30 UP a field near here hosts Oakland City College as it prospects in the Southern Indiana oil field with its first well being drilled. Students will cheer and yell leaders join the scene and support the venture to sustain the college.
Washington reports that about one third of the nation’s 3 600 000 non citizens complied with the new alien registration law in the first month. Earl G Harrison, director of alien registration, said progress since Aug 27 shows most are law abiding and eager to cooperate. Registration must be finished by Dec 26. Fewer than 10 percent of forms were seriously defective.
